· Elizabeth House Cookham Day Centre is looking for a passionate Freelance Cover Cook to ensure healthy lunches are served to our members on a daily basis.

· Hours: 9.30am - 2.00pm.

· This role is a Cover position required to work holiday cover & stand-by cover for the existing Elizabeth House Cooks as and when necessary.

· Experience of working in a similar setting or commercial / education kitchen preferred but not necessary.

· Minimum Level 2 Food Hygiene and Safety for Catering and First Aid qualifications required, (although First Aid training could be provided).

· Meal Planning will be required for on average 20 members per day, requiring monitoring of dietary requirements.

· Necessary Stock control and kitchen housekeeping will be expected.

· Enhanced DBS preferred.

· Pay will be an hourly rate above minimum wage.

· Must be fully vaccinated, wear a mask unless exempt and prepared to do weekly tests when required for duty.

This role is an ideal position for someone looking for an opportunity to work part time and is enthusiastic about delivering fresh, hot, healthy, exciting meals in a local community-based charity.
