FIRST:  MORE CARS ACROSS RBWM, ‘ENTERED BY UNKNOWN MEANS’ !

Can everyone please lock their cars when they park !  Even if you park on a drive behind gates !  Cars left unlocked act as a crime Attractor.  If you want to leave your car unlocked to prevent the windows being smashed – NOTHING MUST BE LEFT ON DISPLAY OR IN THE CAR AT ALL !  Most cars are broken into, for the loose change in the centre console and sunglasses left on the dashboard.

THE BIGGER ISSUE:-

WHILE THE OPPORTUNIST THIEVES ARE WALKING ALONG THE ROAD TRYING CAR DOOR HANDLES – THEY ARE ALSO WALKING UP AND DOWN DRIVEWAYS, LOOKING TO SEE IF ANY HOUSES ARE VULNERABLE FOR A BREAK IN !

YOU DO NOT WANT THESE OFFENDERS WANDERING ABOUT IN YOUR COMMUNITY LOOKING FOR OPPORTUNITIES TO COMMIT CRIMES.

NEXT:- REPORT OF SUSPICIOUS CHARITY COLLECTOR IN WINDSOR.

A man in Air Ambulance uniform, going door to door trying to sell lottery tickets.  This is an issue.  Charity collectors, can no longer ask for cash, as the charities cannot get insurance for these people to walk in streets carrying cash, in case they are robbed.  What they want therefore, is a ‘Standing order’.  You cannot pass your bank details to a complete stranger who calls at the door, however brilliant the charity is.  Checking IDs is meaningless, as you won’t know, what a valid / genuine specific charity ID should look like !  Simply ask them to leave the relevant bank paperwork with you, so that you can complete it if you wish and send it off yourself.  Just a reminder – you cannot pass your bank details to complete strangers !

NEXT:  Do you have an electric car ?  To find where the public charging points are – go to:

https://www.zap-map.com/live/

Simply insert you postcode, for the area you will be visiting.  I notice there may be many more public charging points out there.  If you know of any not on the map – please let me know.

NEXT: - All the events during the Jubilee go to:

https://www.windsorplatinumjubilee.co.uk/

A full list of events are set out there.  At a recent meeting Paul Roach, the Town Centre manager for Windsor said – if you would like to add your event to the list, you can do so, by uploading details into the website.  You will see a box on the ‘What’s On’ page – ‘Submit your event’.
