There will be a short ceremony to celebrate the planting of a flowering cherry tree on the Old Cricket Common as part of the Queen’s Green Canopy.

The tree has been planted at the far end of the Old Cricket Common near the Old Cricket Pavilion (the opposite end of the common to the Jubilee Marquee)

The National Trust ranger Michael Andrews will be there along with Heather Conlin from The Horticultural Society. WildCookham's very own Lynne Peperell will talk about the importance of trees to wildlife, the WildCookham stall in the Jubilee Marquee and the Tree Trail.

There will be a presentation from the children of Cookham Dean Primary School with the head boy and Head girl unveiling the Queen’s Green Canopy plaque.

Each participating child will be given a Queen Platinum Jubilee sticker.

Refreshments will be offered to children and guests.
