Possibly an underappreciated asset at the Heritage Centre is the library. This contains a wide range of publications on aspects of Maidenhead history, together with some books which provide historical context. Many of these books are now out-of-print and so difficult to find elsewhere. Important new additions include street directories and bound volumes of Council Minutes – if you want to know how the Council dealt with the 1918 Spanish Influenza pandemic all the information is there!
