The Met Office has responded to claims that a new 'Beast from the East' could hit the UK, bringing plenty of snow and wintery weather with it. It has denied the rumours that a 'snow bomb' could hit the county with a deep freeze.
Forecasters have now issued a medium and long-range forecast after some reports suggested a polar vortex could trigger a deep freeze across the UK. After a rather long period of cold weather, it's set to get milder in the coming week.
