As part of the celebrations for the Coronation of King Charles III, Monday 8 May has been declared a national public holiday, providing the chance to celebrate the work of volunteers in our local communities.
We want to take the opportunity of this special day to recognise the amazing contribution the staff and volunteers at Elizabeth House make to the community in Cookham.
Elizabeth House will be open on that day from 2.00 p.m. until 4.30 p.m., serving tea and cakes to everyone who would like to pop in and see us. We want to showcase the work that you all do and to invite potential new members to join us. We also want to encourage new volunteers to sign up to join the team.
Please drop in and join us for a refreshing cup of tea, a slice, or two, of cake and a chat. Equally importantly, you are invited to bring a friend or neighbour so that they can learn more about us and the opportunities offered by membership and volunteering.
