Friends of Cookham Abbey is a charity set up to support the exploration of an Anglo-Saxon monastery on a site next to Holy Trinity Church. We want to appoint a Community Engagement Manager who will engage with local groups and schools to extend the reach of the archaeology project, in the context of the rich historical, artistic and environmental heritage of Cookham and its neighbourhood. The role will reach to people from minority ethnic backgrounds and people on low incomes who traditionally miss out on new experiences and don't feel archaeology is 'for them'. We expect that the CEM will work 40 days over the next year, at £200 per day plus reasonable expenses. Further information from David Mudd (
