A hate crime is any incident, which may or may not constitute a criminal offence, which is perceived by the victim or any other person as being motivated by prejudice or hatred, based on any one (or more) of the protected characteristics outlined below:

A DATE FOR YOUR DIARY: Alzheimer’s Society Windsor Memory Walk -
The Windsor Memory Walk takes place at Windsor Great Park on Saturday 21st September 2019, has a target of 1,000 participants.

The attacker is attempting to steal the Royal Mail PAF file (Postcode Address File) via our API. They first scrape an API token, from one of our client's websites. They then use the API token, to make requests to our API, for successive postcodes.
We have some basic rate limiting on the API, which typically stops the activity within half an hour. The first attack took place in May 2019. Since then the attacker has come back 11 more times.
They started on Aberdeen postcodes, and are going in alphabetical order. Today they got up to OX* ***.
Initially we though they'd get bored with the slow progress, but it looks like they are determined.
We are working on better rate limiting code, but as this is clearly a determined thief, this is likely to go on and to escalate. We have logs of all the activity.
Initially the attacks all came from the BT network form their dynamic IP range.
Today the attack came via a proxy server in the Netherlands. We know it is the same person, as each attack, starts off on the postcode where the previous one, was stopped.
Each time we block an IP address, the attacker comes back from a new address, next time. Since the initial attacks came from the BT broadband range, it should be relatively easy for BT to link the dates and IPs, to an individual customer.
We have had no response from BT so far, however, in terms of the possible damage, the PAF file, is worth a lot of money. We can only guess what the thief plans to do with the data.

The thieves entered the kitchen and removed the car keys and then an blue Audi S3 index ST ** RGE from the drive. This was possibly connected to the jobs in Errington Drive and Staines Road.

Kitchen searched for car keys for the BMW on the driveway. The owner always takes them upstairs with them at night ! Nothing stolen.

7/9 Saturday Horton Road, Datchet. Burglary. The owner’s dog barked. Someone had entered the rear of the property, searching containers. They immediately made off. The police were called and attended immediately, carried out an area search, but no-one was found.
6/8 Friday 5 p.m. New Road, Datchet. Outside cupboard forced and searched. Low value items stolen.
7/9 Saturday 1.30 a.m. / 8.30 a.m. Staines Road, Wraysbury. Burglary. The owner resports someone has entered the house overnight. Offenders entered the rear garden and then snapped the handle from the rear door. Similar MO to the Errington Drive and Testwood Road. Possibly looking for the car keys for the BMW on the drive.
7/9 Saturday 12.44 p.m. / 4.30 p.m. Hythe End Road, Wraysbury. Burglary. House being re-furbished. Entry via forced front door, triggering the alarm. CCTV shows a man in a white T shirt, in a downstairs study. Later it was established the offender undid and exited via the rear patio doors. The police were call and attended immediately, putting on a containment, then searching the house room by room. No-one was found. The Dog Unit attended and tracked a scent to Thames Water land, where the trail was lost. Nothing stolen.
