YET ANOTHER DATING LINE SEXTORTION CASE !!!

This time the victim is a woman !  She was talking on line to a man via ‘Instagram’ and then onto another site called ‘Hangouts’.  She believed, from their conversations that he lived in Texas.  She has since established and seen photos, to show that the same man, has several names and different addresses online.

They have been speaking online for approximately 3 months, so he has gathered a lot of information about her, including details about her family, her address and where she works.

As part of the contact, she forwarded ‘intimate’ photos of herself to him.  As soon as he had them, the tone of their conversation changed and he has told her that unless she complies with his demands to send even more intimate photos to him, he will send the ones he has to her friends, family and employer.  He added he has ‘done this before, so don’t play games’ !

This woman is in her mid 40s AND SHOULD KNOW BETTER - BUT THESE PEOPLE ARE VERY GOOD AT WHAT THEY DO - GROOMING ! !!!!

This is such a simple form of blackmail - with modern technology.   PLEASE, HOWEVER MUCH YOU TRUST SOMEONE, YOU HAVE NEVER MET FACE TO FACE TO ASSESS, BUT ONLY SPOKEN TO ONLINE - NEVER SEND ANY TEXT MESSAGES OR PHOTOS, YOU WOULD BE EMBARRASSED TO SHOW TO YOUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS.

If someone through online conversations is taking you down that line, report them immediately.  You may not fall victim, but as in this case, the man has several online identities and if he was willing to take three months to finally initiate the blackmail threat, there may be a large number of other potential victims.

DON’T DO IT - DON’T LET IT BE YOU !!
