FIRST: YET ANOTHER SEXTORTION - This time the victim is a man only 19 years old !
It started, when he went online to an adult sexually explicit website. He began a conversation with a woman online and she asked him if he would like to join her in a video call ? He did this and there was some explicit talk, to a blond woman. She said she was having an issue with her Internet and suggested they use skype and Facebook Messenger. He granted her access to those sites. Her Facebook page ‘appeared’ to relate to a woman called Dana, who lived in Somerset.
They then took part in explicit sexual activity, using the video link. As soon as this was completed, the ‘woman’ sent a screenshot of what had been going on, including facial shots and a demand for £300, or ‘she’ would share the footage, with everyone on his Facebook page. The messages demanding money were in very poor English. The victim was then instructed to download Western Union and Moneygram software, to make the payments, which were addressed to someone called Raziel in the Philippines !
The advice the victim has been given is to close down his Facebook page entirely and block any further communication with ‘Raziel’. Police investigation, shows the profile of Raziel is in fact in Pakistan.
This is a worldwide scam and as it is online, it is very difficult to track who is who and as in this case, the girl may be in one country as part of a group of scammers, based around the world, to prevent anyone being caught. Often, the woman is in fact a man texting, to hook in a victim.
THE ADVICE AS ALWAYS - DO NOT DO THIS !
We have had cases of both men and women becoming victims of this, from all age ranges.
DON’T DO IT - DON’T LET IT BE YOU !
DO NOT SAY, WRITE OR - DO - ANYTHING ONLINE, YOU WOULD NOT BE HAPPY FOR YOUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS TO SEE, HEAR AND READ !
