We weren’t sure what to do at Longridge in light of everything going on. As a charity, we have had to take the truly heart-breaking step of letting most of our team go for the foreseeable future. I’m sure you’ll agree when I say that it’s been a very hard, very surreal week.

However, many of our instructors are from overseas, and so have found themselves unable to get home. More importantly, all of them have expressed a desire to help.

So! We have the instructors, we have the equipment, and we want to do what we can. A surprising number of people have been in touch today asking what childcare we can offer, as there are many people that still have to work to keep the world turning. For this reason, we are offering Activity Days for the children/dependents of Key Workers – please note that these are for Key Workers only. The official advice is for isolation and social distancing, so if you can stay at home, please do. These days are only for the children of those who need to work. For this reason, we are suggesting a donation of £10 per day. However we appreciate this may not be possible, so if you find you cannot manage this then please contact us directly to book. These days will be running from 8.45am – 5pm, and will include a range of our suitably ‘social distanced’ activities. You can book online here – https://alfvillages.cinolla.com/longridge/courses/activity-days
There are many benefits to being outside, and we are also following the government guidelines and have put the following measures in place
* Maximum 6/8 in a group
* Everything must be booked online or via phone. No one is allowed to book in person.
* We do not want parents to congregate while dropping off and picking up. If they can stay at their cars until called over by a member of Staff. The Instructor will sign the parents/guardians name and time on arrival and departure on behalf of them.
* All guests to have hands sanitised on immediate arrival and hands will be sanitised and washed periodically through the day.
* We will not be using wrist bands.
* We will not be opening the shop.
* Catering will not be offered and lunch will need to be provided by the parents/guardians. If this is an issue, please contact the bookings team
