With the sunny weather set to continue this weekend, we are expecting that a number of residents will want to take the opportunity to clear their gardens by having a bonfire.

Bonfires are not illegal, however we advise against them due to air pollution they cause. Smoke from bonfires can cause those with lung conditions, such as COVID-19, extra breathing difficulties. We ask you not to have bonfires.

If you are concerned about bonfires that your neighbours have started, please speak to them in the first instance. If you need further help or assistance please email Environmental.Protection@RBWM.gov.uk
