The number of coronavirus cases in Berkshire has risen to nearly 1,900 according to figures released by Public Health England today (April 27).

Nationwide, 152,840 people have now tested positive for Covid-19 and 21,092 have passed away.

This represents an increase of 2,730 and 360 respectively over the past 24 hours.

In Berkshire, there are now 1,874 lab-confirmed cases of coronavirus - an increase of 58 over the same time period.

Reading, Berkshire, has the highest number of recorded cases in the county, increasing by 11 to 437.

Elsewhere, 300 people have tested positive for Covid-19 in West Berkshire, 347 in Wokingham, 229 in Windsor and Maidenhead, and 200 in Bracknell.
