Three new coronavirus deaths have been recorded in Berkshire's hospitals in the last 24 hours.

The latest figures released on Thursday (May 21) reveal there have been three sad fatalities recorded at trusts which operate Berkshire hospitals over the past 24 hours.

The number of confirmed cases in Berkshire now stands at 2,334, as of 6pm on Wednesday.

Reading still has the highest number of recorded cases in the county, with 569 patients testing positive. Slough now has 446 cases.

Elsewhere, 365 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in West Berkshire, 438 in Wokingham, 280 in Windsor and Maidenhead, and 240 in Bracknell.

Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust  – 329 (two new deaths)
Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust  – 170 (no increase)
Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust  - 16 (one new death)
It is important to note that some of Berkshire's NHS trusts operate hospitals outside of the county, for example Frimley Park Hospital, which is in Surrey. This means it is difficult to give an accurate total of the number of deaths in Berkshire alone.
