There has been one further case of coronavirus in Berkshire, according to NHS England figures released today (July 1).

The first death since June 20 at NHS trusts operating in Berkshire been confirmed in the past 24 hours in the county.

The one case has been recorded in Slough.

UK-wide deaths related to Covid-19 now stand at 43,906, an increase of 176.

There have been 313,483 confirmed cases across the country, 829 more than yesterday.

Data released each day represents the number of deaths recorded in this time period, not those that have actually happened in that time.

Cases in the county where people have tested positive for coronavirus stand at 2,480.

Reading still has the highest number of cases in Berkshire, with 597 patients testing positive.

Slough now has a total of 470 positive cases, while Bracknell 's figure stays at 263.

West Berkshire's cases have also remained the same at 385, while Wokingham's stay at 458.

To date, 312 people have tested positive in Windsor and Maidenhead, no change from yesterday.

The first death since June 20 has been recorded in the last 24 hours.

Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust – 361 (one new death)
Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust – 186
Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust - 20
It is important to note Frimley Health runs sites outside of Berkshire, for example Frimley Hospital in Surrey, so it is hard to get an accurate figure for the exact amount of deaths in Berkshire alone.
