The total number of lab-confirmed UK cases of Covid-19 now stand at 296,377.

According to the latest government figures, 560 more cases were diagnosed on Wednesday July 22.

The total number of deaths in the UK now stands at 45,501 with 79 additional deaths announced in the latest government release.

In Slough, there are now a total of 653 confirmed cases.

The rate of infection in Slough currently stands at 437.9, just lower than the national average of 455.6.

In Windsor and Maidenhead there are a total of 412 confirmed cases, with the Royal Borough having a much lower rate of infection (273)

Rates are calculated by dividing the number of cases by the total population and multiplied by 100,000.

In Buckinghamshire, there are a total of 1,717confirmed cases of Covid-19 with a rate of 317.9.

In Oxfordshire there are 3,164 cases and in Hertfordshire there are 4,208.
