It’s been wonderful to welcome more than four million visitors back to the gardens, parks and historic houses you help us care for. The summer isn’t over yet so please make the most of the season and pay us a visit.

I’m delighted to say we now have over 700,000 booking slots available every week. We look forward to welcoming even more of you back to visit a much-loved family spot or to discover somewhere new.

For many a visit isn’t complete without a cake or scone. We’ve opened lots of our cafés, with many taking part in the government’s Eat Out to Help Out discount scheme throughout August, so you can get up to 50% off a delicious cream tea or tasty lunch. We’ve also reopened many of our gift shops and started to open some of our second-hand book shops.

Even though lots of us will be missing holidays abroad, you can create new holiday memories here at home. There are happy summer days to be had with your loved ones when you connect with nature on a summer walk, explore gardens in full bloom or when the family discovers natural play trails. You can also enjoy visiting some of our houses in England and Northern Ireland too.

For now, to ensure everyone’s safety, please continue to book your visit in advance. Our website is still the best place to find out all the latest information to help you plan and book your visit.
