Flooding is possible - be prepared

Property flooding is not currently expected. River levels remain high but are falling slowly on the River Thames following last week's heavy rainfall. Flooding of low lying roads, paths and farmland is expected to continue this morning (03/01/21) and over the coming days. The forecast for today and tomorrow remains largely dry with possible scattered showers. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are operating weirs to reduce flood risk. Please remain safe and aware of your local surroundings, avoid using low lying footpaths and refer to the 'River and Sea levels in England' webpage for current river levels. This message will be updated this evening, 03/01/21, or as the situation changes.

Good news.
The Flood Alert was lifted around an hour ago.
The flood boards will be changed shortly.
I will update and close the flood log.
Regards
Carol
