As I’m sure you all know, the Moor is flooding. As yet RBWM have not opened a “Flood command centre”, but we, the Parish council are monitoring the situation. If you have any questions or information our emergency numbers are: 07593528012, 07593528012, 07593528062. At present these numbers will only be manned up to 9pm each day unless the flooding increases in which case they will become 24hr contacts. If you want to find out details of current food information

Flood warnings are in force for a number of stretches of the River Thames near Buckinghamshire this evening - with rain set to continue.

The Environment Agency has issued flood warnings, meaning flooding is possible and that people should be prepared, for the following stretches of river:

River Thames for Henley, Remenham, and Medmenham
Properties closest to the River Thames from All Saints Church, Bisham to Little Marlow
River Thames at Bourne End

A number of flood alerts, meaning flooding is possible and you should be prepared, are in force for other areas of Buckinghamshire.

The warning for Bourne End states:  "Property flooding is expected. River levels have risen on the River Thames as a result of a period of sustained rainfall. Therefore, flooding of property, roads and farmland is expected later this afternoon 02/02/21, especially near properties closest to the river in Bourne End.

"Further heavy rainfall is forecast over the next 24 hours and across the rest of the week. We expect river levels to remain high into the weekend. We are closely monitoring the situation."

The latest Met Office weather forecast for the South East states:  "Heavy showers at first this evening, soon clearing away east. Most places then turning drier with some clearer spells developing, and winds decreasing.

"Further rain arriving from the south toward dawn. Minimum temperature 5 °C."
