Coronavirus infection rates have increased in all but one area of Berkshire, according to the latest seven-day figures released today (Tuesday).

Statistics published today show that coronavirus infection rates have gone up in Reading, Slough, West Berkshire, Windsor and Maidenhead and Wokingham for the week ending March 25.

These are the latest rolling seven-day infection rates for each area of Berkshire, expressed as the number of cases per 100,000 of population

Bracknell Forest: 35.9 (decrease from 36.7)
Reading: 47 (increase from 43.3 )
Slough: 78.8 (increase from 72.9)
West Berkshire: 35.3 (increase from 32.7)
Windsor and Maidenhead: 59.4 (increase from 55.5)
Wokingham: 38 (increase from 37.4)

This is the latest data on the total number of deaths at NHS trusts in and around Berkshire:

Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust: 1,242 (no change)
Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust: 499 (no change)
Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust: 32 (no change)

Government data up to March 29 shows that of the 34,518,958 jabs given in the UK so far, 30,680,948 were first doses – a rise of 236,119 on the previous day.

Some 3,838,010 were second doses, an increase of 163,744.
