Berkshire coronavirus cases have risen by more than 100, according to the data released by Public Health England today (Saturday).

There were another 34 positive Covid tests in Reading alone over the last 24 hours.

It brings the total number of positive cases in the town to 11,720 since the pandemic began in March 2020. Wokingham also saw an increase in Covid cases over the last day with 21 positive tests.

The total number of new cases recorded across the county was 107.

Meanwhile, Covid-19 infection rates have risen in five areas in the latest seven-day figures for the week ending June 15

The Government said as of 9am on Sunday, there had been a further 9,284 lab-confirmed Covid-19 cases in the UK.

The Government also said a further 6 people had died within 28 days of testing positive for Covid-19 as of Sunday, bringing the UK total to 127,976.

This is the latest rolling seven-day coronavirus infection rates per 100,000 people for the week ending June 14:

Reading: 130.4 (up from 121.8 )
Windsor and Maidenhead: 48.2 (up from 39)
Slough: 67.5 (down from 70.9)
Bracknell Forest: 73.4 (up from 70.2)
Wokingham: 69.5 (up from 69)
West Berkshire: 48 (up from 45.4)

This is the latest breakdown of confirmed cases for each area of Berkshire since the start of the pandemic, plus the change in the last 24 hours (in brackets):

Reading: 11,720 cases (+34)
Windsor and Maidenhead: 8,756 cases (+18)
Slough: 16,113 cases (+15)
Bracknell Forest: 7,490 cases (+8)
Wokingham: 8,839 (+21)
West Berkshire : 6,749 cases (+11)

This is the latest data on the total number of deaths at NHS trusts in and around Berkshire:

Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust: 1,248 (no change)
Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust : 505 (no change)
Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust: 32 (no change)

How many people have had a Covid vaccine?

Government data up to June 19 shows that of the 74,304,520 jabs given in the UK so far, 42,964,013 were first doses – a rise of 280,241 on the previous day.

Some 31,340,507 were second doses, an increase of 236,363.
