FIRST: ANOTHER SEXTORTION CASE:
A young man was on an online chat site called ‘Hangout’. After a while, the conversation became intimate and she asked him to carry out an ‘intimate act and video it for her – which he did.
Immediately he received a demand for £1,500, or she would share the video with all his personal contacts !
The young man is totally embarrassed and is desperate his parents and family do not find out.
Our Digital Investigation and Intelligence Team will help / assistance to advice the aggrieved young man how to clear his computer.

NEXT: A HIGH COURT SCAM:
A resident received a phone call, supposedly from High Court demanding money. The caller said they are coming with a locksmith as a warrant had been issued under a warrant for £480. They said knew where the resident lived and would be there in 20 minutes, if she did not pay that amount over the phone.
The caller said there was an outstanding judgment from ‘Yell.Com’ and the money was owed from 2013. The resident has received no letters, no emails and no communication regarding the charge.
If you get a call like this:

This new National Lottery Community Fund will give grants of £1,000 to £5,000 to help improve community spaces and deliver sustainable activities for communities across the UK.
Projects must meet at least two of the following criteria:
Build on the relationships created during the Covid-19 pandemic to increase community activity and the number of people taking part
Encourage people to work together, creating opportunities for communities to live in a sustainable and healthy way
Raise awareness amongst the public of the importance of connected households, neighbourhoods and resilient communities
Develop a new idea, activity or way to come together that has emerged in response to the pandemic
Revive or redesign community and common spaces to encourage shared community activities
The scheme will close when it has received 1,500 applications or on 6 July 2021, whichever comes first. Read more here

If so, we could have the right funding opportunity for you. We have just opened a new round of applications for Made By Sport's #ClubsInCrisis fund, which is aimed at giving grassroots sport a much-needed lifeline.
Grants of £2,021 will be considered for organisations or clubs who have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, who need help to save, resume or adapt their activities.
The criteria has been slightly changed: the club or project within your organisation should primarily support young people aged 5-25, but this does not need to apply to your whole organisation.

This scheme gives grants up to £10,000 to help sports groups re-start, and will remain open until the end of 2021.
Their highest priority will now be projects located in areas of high deprivation as these areas have been particularly badly hit by the pandemic.
They particularly encourage applications from organisations working with communities who’ve suffered worse health outcomes and the most significantly reduced activity levels as a result of the pandemic. Their insight currently shows this to be girls and women, young people aged 16-24 and older people aged 70+.
They will now consider new or expanded projects that will safely deliver activities allowing people to become active – addressing challenges their audiences faced during lockdown.

26/6 6.30 p.m. Shoppenhangers Road / Cox Green Road. Witnesses report men driving house to house in the area, knocking on doors and asking to buy the cars on driveway. They have been doing this persistently, visiting houses each week over a number of weeks, in different cars each time. The latest was a dark VW 4x4. The men’s ages range from mid to late 40s - 60s heavy build. A firm ‘No’ and they leave, but they are increasingly visiting the same properties across past few weeks. Ref. No: 43210281945
