There have been 229 more coronavirus cases identified across Berkshire over the 24 hours until Thursday at 9am.

The latest information made available by Public Health England shows the biggest one-day spike was in Windsor and Maidenhead, where there have been another 54 coronavirus cases found.

The smallest increase was in West Berkshire, with 25.

One further death has been recorded under Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust on July 6. Registered in West Berkshire, it takes the total number of fatalities there to 174.

Nationally, as of 9am on Thursday, there had been a further 32,551 lab-confirmed Covid-19 cases in the UK, the Government said.

It means that the total number of people in the UK who have tested positive for coronavirus, up to July 8, has risen above five million, and now stands at 5,022,893.

The Government said a further 35 people had died within 28 days of testing positive for Covid-19 as of Thursday, bringing the UK total to 128,336.

Government data up to July 7 shows that of the 79,800,224 Covid jabs given in the UK so far, 45,601,445 were first doses – a rise of 86,953 on the previous day.

Some 34,198,779 were second doses, an increase of 171,477.

Here are the latest rolling seven-day coronavirus infection rates per 100,000 people in Berkshire for the week ending June 30:

Reading: 256 (down from 266.4)
Windsor and Maidenhead: 135.9 (down from 140.7)
Slough: 135.1 (up from 125.1)
Bracknell Forest: 164 (up from 154.2)
Wokingham: 121 (up from 119.Cool
West Berkshire: 114.9 (down from 111.7)

This is the latest breakdown of confirmed cases for each area of Berkshire since the start of the pandemic, plus the change in the last 24 hours (in brackets):

Reading: 12,614 cases (+43)
Windsor and Maidenhead: 9,295 cases (+54)
Slough: 16,553 cases (+27)
Bracknell Forest: 7,964 cases (+44)
Wokingham: 9,373 (+36)
West Berkshire : 7,143 cases (+25)
