A further 326 cases of Covid-19 have been recorded across Berkshire in the latest official figures (Tuesday, July 13).

The total is down on the 363 reported yesterday, which was the highest number recorded since February 5.

Bracknell Forest recorded the most new cases today, with 68 positive tests.

There were 56 new cases in West Berkshire, 54 in Wokingham, 51 in Reading, 49 in Windsor and Maidenhead and 48 in Slough.

As of 9am on Tuesday, there had been a further 36,660 lab-confirmed Covid-19 cases in the UK, the Government said.

A further 50 people had died within 28 days of testing positive for Covid-19 as of Tuesday, the highest day-on-day increase since April 9.

It brings the UK total to 128,481.

Here are the latest rolling seven-day coronavirus infection rates per 100,000 people in Berkshire for the week ending July 8:

Reading: 225.6 (down from 234.3)
Windsor and Maidenhead: 209.3 (up from 196.1)
Slough: 133.1 (up from 127.1)
Bracknell Forest: 267.6 (up from 247.2)
Wokingham: 162.5 (up from 154.3)
West Berkshire: 139.5 (up from 138.8 )

This is the latest breakdown of confirmed cases for each area of Berkshire since the start of the pandemic, plus the change in the last 24 hours (in brackets):

Reading: 12,920 cases (+51)
Windsor and Maidenhead: 9,546 cases (+49)
Slough: 16,714 cases (+48)
Bracknell Forest: 8,266 cases (+68)
Wokingham: 9,648 (+54)
West Berkshire : 7,356 cases (+56)

How many people have had a Covid-19 vaccine?

Government data up to July 12 shows that of the 80,975,508 Covid jabs given in the UK so far, 45,978,017 were first doses, a rise of 54,296 on the previous day.

Some 34,997,491 were second doses, an increase of 125,360.
