There have been another 252 coronavirus cases across Berkshire over the last 24 hours, as infection rates continue to fall.

The latest Public Health England data shows there have now been 70,738 coronavirus infections across the county since the start of the pandemic last March.

The highest single-day increase across Berkshire today was in Slough, where there were another 54 positive coronavirus infections identified.

The second-highest was in Windsor and Maidenhead where there were another 49 cases, while 45 were in Wokingham.

Elsewhere there were 42 infections in Bracknell Forest, 35 were recorded in Reading and 27 in West Berkshire.

Nationally there were another 23,511 coronavirus cases recorded across the United Kingdom today, bringing the total number of infections to 5,745,526.

There have been another 131 people across the United Kingdom who have died within 28 days of receiving a positive coronavirus test.

There have now been 46,653,796 first doses of the coronavirus vaccine given out across the UK with 37,459,060 people having been double-jabbed, for a total of 84,112,856.

Here are the latest rolling seven-day coronavirus infection rates per 100,000 people in Berkshire for the week ending July 21:

Reading: 366.5 (down from 383.9 )
Windsor and Maidenhead: 357.3 (down from 406.Cool
Slough: 278.2 (down from 300.9)
Bracknell Forest: 458.6 (down from 543.5)
Wokingham: 368.7 (down from 423.1)
West Berkshire: 334.5 (down from 377.4)

This is the latest breakdown of confirmed cases for each area of Berkshire since the start of the pandemic, plus the change in the last 24 hours (in brackets):

Reading: 14,008 (+35)
Windsor and Maidenhead: 10,588 (+49)
Slough: 17,524 (+54)
Bracknell Forest: 9404 (+42)
Wokingham: 10,841 (+45)
West Berkshire : 8,373 (+27)
