There have been more than 350 further cases of coronavirus reported in Berkshire in the last 24 hours until Sunday (August Cool - as all but one area saw their infection rates climb.

Only Wokingham saw its rate decrease in the week ending August 3, from 217.9 to 216.7.

Reading continues to have the highest seven-day infection rate for the virus, at 264.4 cases per 100,000 people.

In the official figures, published by Public Health England today (August Cool, there were another 352 cases of Covid-19 recorded across the county, bringing the total since the start of the pandemic to 74,647.

The highest number of new cases was again found in Reading, where 71 positive tests were returned.

The Government said a further 39 people had died within 28 days of testing positive for Covid-19 as of Sunday, bringing the UK total to 130,321.

Separate figures published by the Office for National Statistics show there have been 155,000 deaths registered in the UK where Covid-19 was mentioned on the death certificate.

Government data up to August 6 shows that of the 86,466,264 Covid jabs given in the UK, 47,036,796 were first doses, and some 39,429,468 were second doses.

Here are the latest rolling seven-day coronavirus infection rates per 100,000 people in Berkshire for the week ending August 3:

Reading: 264.4 (up from 258.2)
Bracknell Forest: 233.6 (up from 227.1)
Windsor and Maidenhead: 226.1 (up from 222.Cool
Wokingham: 216.7 (down from 217.9)
West Berkshire: 210.8 (up from 210.1)
Slough: 206.6 (up from 204.6)

This is the latest breakdown of confirmed cases for each area of Berkshire since the start of the pandemic, plus the change in the last 24 hours (in brackets):

Reading: 14,821 (+71)
Windsor and Maidenhead: 11,241 (+63)
Slough: 18,132 (+64)
Bracknell Forest: 9,933 (+54)
Wokingham: 11,527 (+59)
West Berkshire : 8,991 (+41)
