Another three people have died after catching coronavirus in Berkshire, according to official statistics.

The most recent deaths took place in West Berkshire and Bracknell Forest.

It means that 1,485 people have died from the virus since the start of the pandemic.

Today's update also revealed that 362 new cases of the virus had been recorded across the county in the last 24 hours.

Slough found the most new cases after 91 positive tests were returned, followed by Windsor and Maidenhead, where there were 72 new cases.

West Berkshire had the fewest new cases with 20.

There have now been 95,440 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Berkshire since the start of the pandemic.

Government data up to September 28 shows that of the 93,630,859 Covid jabs given in the UK, 48,797,579 were first doses, a rise of 31,853 on the previous day.

Some 44,833,280 were second doses, an increase of 33,532.

The Government said a further 150 people had died within 28 days of testing positive for Covid-19 as of Wednesday, bringing the UK total to 136,525.

Separate figures published by the Office for National Statistics show there have been 161,000 deaths registered in the UK where Covid-19 was mentioned on the death certificate.

As of 9am on Wednesday, there had been a further 36,722 lab-confirmed Covid-19 cases in the UK, the Government said.

Here are the latest rolling seven-day coronavirus infection rates per 100,000 people in Berkshire for the week ending September 29:

Reading: 308.1 (up from 293.1)
Windsor and Maidenhead: 377.5 (up from 372.2)
Slough: 278.1 (down from 297.5)
Bracknell Forest: 287.5 (up from 266.6)
Wokingham: 284 (down from 296.1)
West Berkshire: 251.2 (up from 247.4)

This is the latest breakdown of confirmed cases for each area of Berkshire since the start of the pandemic, plus the change in the last 24 hours (in brackets):

Reading: 18,796 (+66)
Windsor and Maidenhead: 15,004 (+72)
Slough: 21,366 (+91)
Bracknell Forest: 12,440 (+42)
Wokingham: 15,390 (+71)
West Berkshire : 12,444 (+20)
