One in 40 people aged 25-29 in Windsor and Maidenhead have coronavirus

One in 40 people aged 25-29 in Windsor and Maidenhead have tested positive for coronavirus in the last seven days, new data has shown.

The Government have released their latest statistics for Berkshire as coronavirus cases across the country rise.

The age group in the Windsor and Maidenhead area is the most concentrated area and age group in Berkshire for coronavirus.

Elsewhere in Berkshire, in Wokingham, one in 46 toddlers aged from five years old to nine years old have tested positive in the last seven days.

Also in Wokingham, one in 44 people aged 20-24 have tested positive in the last seven days.

Although cases amongst young people are rising, only one in over 1,700 people aged 85 to 89 in Reading have tested positive for the virus in the last seven days, meaning cases amongst the older population are not rising as sharply.

The following is the breakdown of the statistics by each age group. For example, one in every 336 people aged between 0 and 4 in Reading is currently infected with coronavirus.
