From this Thursday (January 27), there is no longer a legal obligation to wear a face covering.

Although, the government suggests that you continue to wear a mask in crowded and enclosed spaces where you may come into contact with other people you do not normally meet.

Also from Thursday, venues and events will no longer be required by law to check visitors’ NHS COVID Pass - although the pass can still be used on a voluntary basis.

And in schools from Thursday, pupils and staff will no longer be advised to wear face masks in communal areas. While in primary schools, staff will no longer be advised to wear face coverings in communal areas.
