Berkshire is set to be battered by strong winds today (Thursday, April 7) - with the Met Office issuing a weather warning for the county. The yellow weather warning, issued this morning, is in force from 9.54am.

The warning, which covers all of Berkshire including Reading, Slough, Bracknell and Wokingham, predicts winds of around 45-50mph in some areas. The Met Office weather warning is in force until 6pm.

The Met Office weather warning states: "Gusty winds expected through Thursday with some disruption in places. Winds will strengthen across central England this morning with gusts widely 45-50 mph developing and a few places seeing gusts around 55 mph. Winds will ease from the west from later in the afternoon."
