SORRY TO SAY – YET ANOTHER SEXTORTION !

A young man was contacted on Instagram, by what he thought was a woman called ‘Jayne’, who lived in New York.  They talked for a week.

Eventually they started to share intimate photos and videos.  Immediately, he received a message demanding £200, or the images would be shared with everyone in his personal contact list.  He did nothing and then received further messages demanding £250 as his response was so slow.  He sent them £250 and has now received a further demand for another £350 !

He has now closed all his social media accounts.

PLEASE – do not do, say, write, text, photograph, video anything online / via your phone that you would not be happy for your family, relatives, neighbours, friends, work colleagues, employer - everyone in your contact list - to see !

NEXT: Celebrate Her Majesty's birthday at special Platinum Jubilee reception

You are invited to a special reception to celebrate Her Majesty The Queen's Birthday and her Platinum Jubilee year.

It will be hosted by the Mayor, Councillor John Story, on Thursday 21 April – Her Majesty’s 96th birthday – at Windsor Guildhall.

Champagne and canapés will be served from 6pm to 8pm, and you will have the opportunity to visit the Royal Borough's recently reopened museum and information centre, now co-located on the ground floor of the Guildhall.

If you would like to attend, please contact Alison Singleton, the Mayor’s Secretary via email - alison.singleton@rbwm.gov.uk. The event is in aid of the Mayor's Benevolent Fund and tickets are £35 per person.

NEXT: Children invited to join 21-gun salute outside Windsor Castle for Queen’s birthday

Children of the Royal Borough are invited to help wish Her Majesty The Queen a happy birthday – by taking part in the traditional 21-gun salute outside Windsor Castle, on Thursday 21 April at noon.

We will be celebrating Her Majesty’s 96th birthday with the annual firing of mini cannon on The Long Walk, near the Brook Street entrance, with the special tribute led by Councillor John Story, the mayor.

As usual, a number of lucky children attending the ceremony will be chosen at random to fire the cannon, under the safe supervision of an ordnance expert and in the presence of local dignitaries.
