At 9.45pm on Thursday 2 June 2022 up and down the UK beacons will be lit.
The grand event will kick off as early as 2pm with town criers invited to undertake the Proclamation, which announces the lighting of the beacons later that day. At 9.35pm, on the local side, communities are encouraged with pipers or bands to perform Diu Regnare from the central locations of their choice.
