The highly anticipated flypast will be taking place on Thursday, June 2. A huge amount of preparation has taken place already with a number of military rehearsals taking place last week.

Chinook, Typhoon, and a Wildcats were just a few planes that were confirmed to have taken part in the rehearsals. The timings of the flypast are only approximate and are subject to change depending on the weather.

According to Military Airshows, the flypast will start in the area of The Walsh, the North Sea and Southwold, Suffolk and Southend in Essex. The route will then hold via Swaffham, Thetford and Colchester towards London to flypast Buckingham Palace.

It is not until the dispersal occurring to the south and west of London that avid plane spotters will see the aircraft fly over Berkshire. Those who do not want to miss the spectacular site will want to look up at the skies anytime between 12.50pm and 1.30pm.

The aircraft is expected to amass around The Walsh, which is a bay and estuary on the edge of East Anglia before doing a circuit over the North Sea. This happens as early as 11.45am.

They will then head to the northwest of East Anglia to head south at about 12.15pm over Swaffam and Thetford in Norfolk. The flypast will then pass over Ipswich, before passing over the bustling city of Colchester in Essex.

It is from this point they are scheduled to head towards the capital. The first set of historic planes is expected to be seen at around 12.40pm, passing overhead between then and 1.15pm.
