A NEW SCAM EMAIL:

On 27/06/2022 the aggrieved was unable to log into her email account with Yahoo.

Shortly afterwards the caller received multiple calls from friends that they had received emails from her saying that she had Covid and asking them to buy ‘Google Play’ gift cards and send the voucher numbers back to her, via email.

The caller is not aware of anybody actually buying any gift cards, but she wouldn’t know as the card ID numbers, would have been forwarded to the fraudster.

On 28/06/2022 the aggrieved’s daughter, received an email from her email address, purporting to be form the aggrieved, asking for a loan payment to be made into a bank account – supposedly belonging to the fraudster - No payment was made.

Can everyone be on their guard.  This is an updated version of – I am crying as I write this from my holiday in XXXX.  I was robbed yesterday and they took my passport, wallet everything and I cannot pay my hotel bill / return flight etc.. SEND MONEY TO THIS ACCOUNT !

DON’T DO IT !  MAKE CONTACT FIRST TO SEE IF IT IS GENUINE !
