The Big Dig Starts on Monday...
Well, almost! Delivery of fencing and equipment will start next week at the paddock by Holy Trinity. This may cause some disruption to dog walking paths and so on while we get everything into place. There will be free site tours on Saturdays 13th, 20th and 27th August at 2.00pm and you are most welcome to come along. The team will update on progress on their Facebook page Archaeology at the University of Reading. A charity, Friends of Cookham Abbey, has been launched to support post-excavation research and conservation of finds, and to link our findings with other aspects of Cookham’s history and cultural heritage.
