Two lanes have been shut after a crash on the M4 today near Heathrow Airport (Sunday, August 21). The incident is on the eastbound carriageway on the M4 London-bound from Junction 5 A4 London Road (Langley) to Junction 4B for the M25.

The incident was first flagged and reported by Inrix at 2.26pm this afternoon. No injuries have yet been reported as a result of the collision.

There are reports of queuing traffic on the motorway. Lanes one and two appear to be closed on the M4.

An update from Inrix, the traffic and travel data company, said: "Two lanes closed and queueing traffic due to accident on M4 Eastbound from J5 A4 London Road (Langley) to J4B M25 J15".

The M4 in Slough is closed westbound between J6 and J7 due to a collision involving an overturned vehicle.

Emergency Services are in attendance.

Diversion Route

Road users are advised to follow the Hollow Square diversion symbol on road signs

Leave the M4 at J6, follow the A355 and then the A332 southbound.
Exit at the A332/A308 interchange and at the roundabout turn right following the A308 towards Maidenhead.
At the A308/A308M roundabout turn left and follow the A308M to the M4 J8/9 interchange to re-join the M4 westbound.
If this closure impacts on your planned route, please allow extra journey time. Plan ahead, you may wish to re-route or even delay your journey.
