Temperatures are forecast to hit 29C across parts of Berkshire on Tuesday (June 12). The Met Office has said that the hot weather is down to high levels of humidity and low levels of wind across the southern regions.

It'll be the anticipated peak of the current hot spell, with sweltering temperatures expected across most of Berkshire. West Berkshire and Newbury are forecast to have the highest temperatures, with the possibility it could reach 30 degrees, while temperatures in East Berks will peak at 29C.

The temperatures are expected to remain in the high 20s for the rest of the week, although as we head towards the weekend temperatures do start to cool somewhat. Friday, Saturday and Sunday (June 16, 17, 18) is where the weather starts to decrease, with temperatures of around 25C anticipated for next weekend.
