A note from one of your long-time followers 250 miles away in Cornwall !
I receive scam e-mails, on a fairly regular basis all the time. I never spend any time on them. Most go to the Outlook Junk E-mail folder, but one or two do get through to my in-box.
I forward each one to
nfibphishing@city-of-london.pnn.police.uk, with only my name and address. Then I block it and delete it.
If only one, proves useful to Action Fraud, it is taking things in the right direction and is the right thing to do, so that they are made aware.
By the way, the collection of guidance notes I have created for the small charity I chair here in Cornwall, is now up to number 38. I use the material that comes from you, or from Devon & Cornwall police -

It was Jeremy, who alerted us to scam invoices being sent to finance departments at local churches and charities, for urgent / outstanding payment. Often, the person who is doing the finance and paying bills for those organisations, would receive a bill going into collection or the court and pay it, before checking it out ! We were grateful to him for that alert ! keep it up Jeremy - we must spread the message to protect as many people as possible !

MAIDENHEAD CENTRAL:
maidenheadcentralnhpt@thamesvalley.pnn.police.uk9/6 - 10/6 Sunday 11.22 p.m. / Monday midnight. School West Road. Call from alarm company that sensors had been triggered at the school. Offenders kicked in a wooden panel on a rear door and crawled into the dining hall. The offenders then made their way to the school office. Nothing appears to have been taken.
7/6 Friday 6.40 p.m. / 7/11 p.m. Stonefield Park. Catalytic converter stolen from under a car. A witness saw 3 men drive up in a black Audi and cut it from the car.
RIVERSIDE & BELMONT:
8/6 - 9/6 Saturday 11 p.m. / Sunday 1 p.m. Belmont Park Avenue. Glass removed from wing mirror - no other damage caused.

9/6 Sunday 2.30 p.m. Queen’s Coppice, Grubwood Lane, Cookham. A witness reported a group of young people walking along the road, spray painting the trees.
9/6 Sunday midnight / 7 a.m. Riverside Park, Mill Lane, Hurley. CAR ENTERED BY UNKNOWN MEANS - searched - nothing stolen.
PINKNEYS GREEN & FURZE PLATT:
6/6 - 7/6 Thursday 2 p.m. / Friday 9 p.m. Switchback Road, South. Attempted burglary and shed break. Thieves attempted to the front door using a screwdriver. As this was unsuccessful, they climbed over a fence into a rear garden and opened the garden shed, stealing food from a freezer.

24/5 - 7/6 Furrow Way X 2. 1. Shed break - 5 bikes stolen. Door lock forced. 1. A copper / bronze, Kona Blast bike. 2. A pale metallic blue, Kona road bike, with carbon fibre forks. 3. A black Dawes Watago bike. 4. A red Dawes ladies hybrid bike. 5. A silver fold up bike. A lot of tools and a carpet cleaner also stolen. 2. Garage break, not yet known what was stolen.
9/6 - 10/6 Sunday 4 p.m. / Monday 8 a.m. Rutland Road. Van break. Offenders managed to open it, without causing damage to the lock, but in the process, damaged the runner on the side of a van. Nothing appears to have been taken.
8/6 Saturday 8.25 p.m. / 9.50 p.m. Suffolk Road. Van break - Tools stolen.
OLDFIELD & BRAY:
8/6 - 9/6 Saturday 7 p.m. / Sunday 9 a.m. Desborough Crescent. Van break. Left unlocked - searched tools and radio stolen

Many thanks for publishing my correspondence re scams. One thing you omitted, is that if the genuine HMRC contact you they will ALWAYS quote your NI number on ALL correspondence.
