Serco will be taking over the weekly waste and recycling collections in the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead from Monday 30 September.
Collection days will stay the same but there may be some changes to the times of collections. This means that if your bin is normally collected at a certain time it may be collected earlier or later in the day from 30 September.
Cllr Gerry Clark, lead member for sustainability, waste services and economic development, said: “We are working hard to ensure disruption is kept to a minimum as we move our waste and recycling contract over to Serco.
“However, we know that not all residents may realise that we are changing supplier, so please do let your neighbour know that bin collection days are not changing but the time of collection might.”
If your bin still hasn’t been collected after 4pm on the day it is normally due for collection it may have been missed. You can report a missed bin online here.

Serco, a British owned and based company and a member of the FTS250 will continue to deliver weekly collections and gradually introduce a host of new initiatives to help reduce carbon emissions and increase recycling rates.
One new initiative is the introduction of a small electrical item and battery collection service which starts on Monday 30 September. Residents can leave small electrical items in one small bag and a separate bag for batteries next to their bins on collection day for recycling. Further information on this scheme can be found here.
