The toad migration around Lightlands Lane area to Strand water will be happening soon and we need as many people as possible to help with the local toad patrol. You’ve probably seen volunteers around in previous years. We wear high vis jackets and walk around with buckets and torches rescuing toads from the roads and moving them near to the lake where they spawn. The Lightlands toad population is small so they do need help getting safely to their breeding ground. It’s a great way to get a bit of exercise and get to know other local people as well. Contact
