There has been a lot of discussion re scams and frauds relating to food purchasing and collecting medicines, for those self-isolating at home.

I have this morning - after consultation with local Councillors and Honor Ryan at Trading Standards, agreed this statement:

If you are self-isolating and need someone to buy food, or collect medicines for you, only ask people you know and you trust.

If you don’t have anyone in that category, ask someone you do know, to give you the name of someone they trust and can vouch for.

If the situation deteriorates, the scammers will jump on board and target the most vulnerable in our community and as we know, they are always very convincing and plausible.  They are really good at what they do.
