'The RBWM Support Hub’, is run jointly with WAM -Get Involved - (the RBWM Volunteer Agency), to triage any help that’s needed.
The RBWM Support Hub is where residents are encouraged to go, to find out where their nearest 'Neighbourhood Community Group' is.
It will also help with other needs, provide advice and comfort and reassurance.

In the Eton and Castle Ward there are 3 groups, which work with the community-
1. Eton Wick.
2. Eton
3. Windsor Central- 3 ladies are working hard to support residents who need support.
They are all getting and delivering shopping and co-ordinating with the ‘RBWM Hub’ as needed.
Eton Wick Church also has a rota of callers (including me), to be a listening ear on the phone and read a prayer.
There is also a lady in South Ascot making 2,000 ‘Scrubs’ for the NHS ! The council are helping, by doing fundraising, through the Mayor’s Charity, to pay for materials etc..
Lots of people have offered to sew and supply pieces of material.

As many of you know, the COVID-19 pandemic has had an unprecedented impact on our local NHS services, many of whom are working tirelessly, to look after us all and keep us safe.
Frimley Trust - which includes Wexham Park, Heatherwood and Frimley Hospital, need of 2,000 sets of scrubs, to prepare and cope with the demand for extra staff, during this major influx of COVID-19.
Two ways for you to get involved:
SCRUB EFFORT
One of our local tailors has offered to sew scrubs for donation. One scrub requires four metres of fabric, however we are short of the fabric and polyester needed.
Please can any suppliers, shops, residents or any other source with any spare fabric, donate it towards:

I put out details of what is happeneing in Eton earlier this week.
NEXT: A message from John Diack, The Chair of the Maidenhead NHW Association and the RBWM representative on the Thames Valley Association of NHW.
We in NHW are aware of the enormous strain currently being placed on our NHS, Police and other public services. We are seeking to fill, wherever possible, any perceived gaps such as circulating local crime or nuisance information by utilising the NHW coordinators network across the town.
We are aware of the elderly and vulnerable members within our schemes and are aiming to ensure they are properly being taken care of.
Additionally, many shopping groups have been organised to minimise the number of trips to shops and to enable those in the vulnerable categories to remain at home. Prescriptions collections have also been facilitated.
We are on the look out for any one who is finding the current crisis over-stressful or who us not coping well and doing our best to include them in the community to improve all round morale.

I would not normally send scam emails to you as I am well aware of these ‘people’ (not the word used by Brian !!) and the methods that they use, but some of your other members I think, should know how these scams keep appearing in our inboxes with ever increasing occurrence.
I am over 80 and live on my own and in these times of self-isolation, I am finding more time on my hands, to highlight this increasing plight. Please note in the ones I have received, they have my correct email !
