More than 500 cases of coronavirus have now been recorded across Berkshire in the latest Public Health England figures released today (April 5).

In the last 24 hours, there has been a rise of 71 cases, bringing the total from 498 to 569 since yesterday.

Slough remains the worst affected part of Berkshire, with 14 more cases reported than yesterday, bringing the total to 143 today.

In West Berkshire, there are now 80 cases, and 89 cases in Reading, Berkshire.

There are now 57 cases in Bracknell Forest, 99 in Windsor  and  Maidenhead and 101 in Wokingham.

Across the UK, there are now more than 47,000 confirmed cases of Covid-19 and a total of 4,934 patients have died in hospital after testing positive in the UK as of 5pm on Saturday.

This figure is up by 621 from 4,313 the day before.

The Department of Health also said that, as of 9am on Sunday, a total of 195,524 people have been tested.
