Most of our shops in England, Wales and the Channel Islands will be closed on Easter Sunday, and open for shorter hours on Good Friday and Easter Monday (Scottish shops will open as normal). You can find the opening hours for your local store at waitrose.com

We are continuing to limit the number of customers in our shops, and introducing further measures to ensure everyone keeps a safe distance once inside. Unfortunately, that will sometimes mean queues, but these do move quickly and many of our stores are quieter after 6pm.

Please shop alone if you can, to help reduce numbers and remember that the first hour of each day is still reserved for elderly or vulnerable customers and their carers. Outside of this hour, priority is given to NHS workers in our queues and at our checkouts.

If possible, please use card payment rather than cash – to help with this we have raised the contactless limit from £30 to £45. We have also lifted restrictions on the amount of fresh food you can buy, to make it easier to shop for others who cannot leave their home.

We are listening to your feedback about online slots and working hard to make these available to customers who need them most. Last week, more than 40% of our online deliveries were made to vulnerable customers and this percentage will increase in the coming weeks as we prioritise new slots for those in need.

Some additional grocery collection slots are being opened up on waitrose.com too – allowing you to shop online and collect in person from a Waitrose store. To see whether this service is open in your local shop and to check slot availability, select the ‘Click & Collect’ option on our slot booking page. If you are unable to leave your home, a friend or neighbour can collect this on your behalf.

Whilst we are working hard to meet the increased demand, we would ask those of you who are able to shop in store to do so, to help us offer more deliveries to those who cannot leave home.
