The number of positive coronavirus cases has increased by 190 over the last 24 hours, with now 1,571 in Berkshire - up from 1,381 yesterday (April 20).

As of 9am on Tuesday (April 21), 535,342 tests have concluded, with 18,206 tests on Monday (April 20).

A total of 397,670 people have been tested of which 129,044 tested positive.

The Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading has seen 99 deaths in total
Berkshire coronavirus: Another 47 deaths confirmed at county's hospitals

Across the UK, as of 5pm on Monday (April 20), of those hospitalised in the UK who tested positive for coronavirus, 17,337 have sadly died.

Reading, Berkshire has 361 confirmed cases, while Slough has 317.

There are now 275 Wokingham cases, 205 cases in Windsor and Maidenhead, 241 in West Berkshire and 172 in Bracknell.

At today's Downing Street press briefing, Health Secretary Matt Hancock said that the nation owes it to those who have died with coronavirus not to “throw away the progress” made in the fight against the disease.
