Cookham Medical Centre are still seeing patients. Many are vulnerable and scared to come into the building so they are seeing them in their cars or openly in the car park , or they wait by side door until the exact start of appointment. Some Mums are insisting we vaccinate babies in the car park. They are keeping the practice clean but they can't wash people's fears away.
The car park is now a waiting room and a consulting room
However the car park is heaving with people going to the butchers and other places. It is difficult for staff & patients to park and people can over hear consultations and examinations
One doctor had to order someone who was hanging about smoking to leave. They’ve had people sitting by the flower beds, when challenged they said they were not there for an appointment they were just chatting.
PLEASE has anyone any ideas how the car park can be kept free for genuine users?
