WILL RBWM PARKING STRATEGY IN COOKHAM CREATE EVEN MORE PROBLEMS

Two recent planning applications in Cookham Rise have shown that the Council’s Highways Consultants are supporting proposals that will provide insufficient parking spaces, so there will be even more street parking. This does not comply with the Cookham Village Design Statement. We understand that the Council’s parking strategy is to designate areas covered by a frequent train service as accessible so not requiring full parking facilities for residents. The Society believes that Cookham’s rail connections outside rush hour do not qualify as such and will take this argument to the Council in due course.
