A Click and Collect service from Maidenhead Library will commence on Monday 6 July. You will have the opportunity to select items you would like to read and staff will make contact with you when they are ready for collection. Library advisors will endeavour to provide you with your chosen titles or suitable alternatives. You will also have the option to collect bags of picture books or other suitable items for children without having to select individual titles.

Using Click and Collect couldn’t be easier! All you need to do is search our online catalogue for what you want to read and then place a reservation on it. You will be notified by library staff once your books are ready for collection. Initially, this service will be limited to Maidenhead Library only.

Picture Books, Board Books and Early Reader categories are currently available in pre-selected packs only. To request these items, please complete the online form.

Anybody who does not have online access can ring Maidenhead Library and staff there will be happy to assist.

Strict social distancing measures will be in place at Maidenhead Library to ensure the safety of staff and residents and you will not be able to browse or use IT facilities at this stage.

Home Library Service
The Home Library Service will resume on Monday 6 July. If you are already a housebound customer, your library volunteer will make contact with you to agree a safe way to deliver books to you. If you believe you may qualify for this service please fill in the online form or email Maidenhead Library and a library colleague will get in touch with you.

The Mobile Library Service will also resume the week commencing Monday 6 July. If you are a regular Mobile Library customer, the Mobile Library Team will be in touch with you to discuss your reading requirements and then deliver your books to your normal stop. You will not be allowed on board the Mobile Library as it is too small to ensure social distancing However, your books or suitable alternatives will be provided for you to collect from outside the Mobile Library.

If you are a regular Mobile Library customer and do not hear from anybody, please email the Mobile Library Mobile.library@rbwm.gov.uk and a library colleague will make contact in due course.

Select and Deliver - coming soon
Finally, library colleagues are working very hard to set up a Select and Deliver library service for residents. You will be able to select your books and then choose from a wide range of locations and times across the Borough to collect your books. As soon as the Select and Deliver options become available, we will post instructions on our social media channels https://www.facebook.com/RBWMLib  and website. https://www3.rbwm.gov.uk/info/200197/libraries

If you need help or have any questions about Click and Collect, please call us on 01628 796969 or send us an email. Maidenhead.library@rbwm.gov.uk
