Three more cases of coronavirus have been recorded in Berkshire in the past 24 hours, the latest figures show.

The Department of Health and Social Care released the latest statistics on Tuesday (July 14) afternoon.


Two authorities in Berkshire have experienced an increase in cases - Reading with one more, taking its total to 774, and Windsor and Maidenhead with two more, taking its total to 406 since the start of the pandemic.

Berkshire has now recorded a total of 3,278 coronavirus cases. For a breakdown per authority, please see below:

Reading: 774 cases (an increase of one)
Slough: 644 cases (no increase)
Wokingham: 598 cases (no increase)
West Berkshire: 475 cases (no increase)
Windsor and Maidenhead: 406 cases (an increase of two)
Bracknell Forest: 381 cases (no increase)
In the UK 44,968 people who tested positive for coronavirus have died across all settings, an increase of 138 in the past 24 hours.

Meanwhile there have now been 291,373 lab-confirmed cases in the UK, an increase of 398 in the past day

NHS trusts operating in and around Berkshire have recorded no further coronavirus-related patient deaths in the past 24 hours, figures released on Tuesday show.

The NHS figures show one further death recorded in the South East for July 13, bringing the region's fatalities to 3,463.

In all, 569 deaths have been recorded by Berkshire NHS trusts since the start of the pandemic. For a breakdown per trust, please see below:

Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust: 363 (no increase)
Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust: 186 (no increase)
Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust: 20 (no increase)

According to the NHS a further 26 people who tested positive for coronavirus have died in England in the past day, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals to 29,103.

"Patients were aged between 72 and 95 years old. All patients had known underlying health conditions," NHS England says.

"Their families have been informed."
