BOYN HILL, COX GREEN & WOODLANDS PARK:
7/10  Wednesday 10.45 a.m. / 11.45 a.m.  Webster Close.  Burglary.  The aggrieved was working outside his house and had left the rear door open.  He suddenly smelt strong aftershave and went to investigate.  He found the house had been searched and a gold sovereign, handbag and cash had been stolen.  Ref. No:  43200315306.  This shows how brazen our opportunist thieves are.  If they see or hear you working outside or in your garden, they will walk down to any side entrance, to see if you have locked the back door.  If not, they will enter and do a quick search taking anything small, valuable and portable.  What if you come back inside ?  They take that risk, with a story already prepared.  You will say - ‘What are you doing in my house ’? and be totally stunned and confused.  They will quickly respond - ‘I am looking for John - he said he lived here’ !  You will respond - ‘John who’ ?  They will then say ‘Oh, sorry’ and make a quick exit !  You will still be standing there, wondering what just happened !
If you are doing anything outside, you must lock all doors and windows, each time you go in and out.  As I say, our opportunist thieves are quite brazen and will take risks.
DON’T LET IT BE YOU.
